I think I can really start to enjoy summer now. Memorial day was a beautiful day..the sun was out, the air was hot, and no rain. We had our friends over for a pretty sweet pool party/cook out. The kids were in the pool from 2:30 until 7:30 having the time of their life. As Liv was dragging up to bed she asks me "why am I so tired"? Kids are so cute...It's days like these that remind me of how boring my life would be without them.
Really whats a pool party without several tiny little swimsuit bums running around. Ian had his first ice cream cone. He would make these awesome faces (that I missed on camera ) of delight mixed with the pain from the freezing ice cream. Oh what a fun day.

Olivia finally got a new swimsuit for the year...it's painful that they only last one year. She was really excited to get it and wore it all day after school. They swam in the pool this afternoon....could it be that summer is finally here? Ian is getting around like a little baby should. At night he pulls himself to standing inside his crib and then cries because he can't figure out how to sit back down. ( olivia did the exact same thing ). poor little peanut. Here he is enjoying a ride in the laundry basket...clean laundry don't worry.

Jonny and I took a little trip to Cincinnati this weekend. it was a nice time...we did some things at our rental home talked to friends and neighbors...I forgot how much I liked seeing these people. We would talk practically daily, and it was very nice to see them again. jonny and I went to this fun restaurant downtown called arnolds ( here is picture from my no flash camera phone ) Its is this cool old building with all these little rooms tucked away everywhere. We are eating next to an old bathtub in this picture:) it was wonderful to get away with Jonny and just... be. We stopped at a wonderful place on the way home...Mendelsons. It's a place where old supplies go to die...8 stories in this old GM parts factory...walking through there was amazing in itself. Especially when we went to the closed to the public level to fish around in piles and piles of old school chairs. (Jonny is so sweet...he knows my idea of a good time) I got some awesome kids school chairs and these fabulous industrial blue metal bins...I plan on using them for kids toy storage Even the drive was nice, so quiet...ah. we need to get away more often.
